2000/10:

Our Key activities started out back in the early millennium year (2000) in the construction sector as a 2/4 man business. In early 2008/10 Mr Robert Austin Jnr was given an opportunity in the facility sector to work with some major blue chip clients, after several collectively with Mr Austin Snr to re-direct the business due to the instability in the construction sector it was from there the transition started to move from construction to facilities. 

2011:

From there unknowingly the trading name of FMC (Fabrics and Maintenance Contractors) Ltd started to be formed and in 2011 FMC was registered as a private limited company and the business started to grow.

2013:

Our neash in the facilities sector started to flourish. Robert Austin Jnr and his father Mr Austin Snr decided to drive the business and grow, all being done in uncertain times and a recession due to the recent financial crash in 2007/8. This didn't put either of them off.

2014:

With a carefully modeled 5 year business plan, many late nights and years of weekend working the drive started, our office support teams started to join us in the back office and our tradesmen and women also started to join the team.

2015:

In 2014/15 the construction sector started to stabalise and FMC had identified its own neash internally in the business. So the next 5 year business plan was designed and put into place to bring FMC back into the construction sector as well as keeping the Facilities sector. 

FMC quickly started to see its key strengths in the ever evolving market and started to focus on the two core divisions in the construction sector utilising the Flat Roofing teams and the Internal Decorating teams from the Facilities division already grown. 

From this day on FMC has successfully grown year on year in both sides of the business organically (ROOFING & PAINTING & DECORATING).

2018:

In late 2018 sadly the passing of Mr Austin Snr and the man once known as BOB passed away. The whole team were devastated and FMC had to re-shape with in positions. 

2020:

Our journey continued, our commitment to serve our clients continued and through hard work, dedication we started to move on-wards until the world wide pandemic in late 2019, 2020 and 2021 slowed our plans and our 5 year business model. But this didn't stop us completely as the team dug deep and in 2021 FMC opened our second office.

2021:

Now the geographical of our great country needed to be taken into consideration. Our office in BRISTOL was opened and new members of our team were brought in to assist with our growth and commitment to be the best at what we do.  

2023/Current Day:

We decided to re-brand our name, the end of an era and the start of a new adventure. Formerly FMC (Fabrics & Maintenance Contractors) Ltd changed to FMC Projects. We decided as a business to change our name that best suited our next 5 year plan.

In FMC we now have Qualified Estimators, Contracts Managers, Project Support Administrators, Tradesmen and Women focusing and assisting on all our schemes. its about service and quality in everything we are successful in securing, from Painting & Decorating, Flat Roofing, Green Roofs, Blue Roofs, Brown Roofs, Roof Safety through to the smaller Maintenance Contracts works it doesn't matter what the scheme is we care about them all. Its about our commitment to you our clients regardless of size, nothing is singled out and together we deliver.

Our Experience and honesty is key to us in delivering the very best we can to you as one of our clients. All of our trades have extensive knowledge in their own key fields of work which we rely on to deliver not just the finish that's required, but to complete everything safely in the time frame/schedule that's been agreed by both parties.

Our teams work in line with the programme of works that's issued to us as a business. We understand that time is of an essence. and that the pressures we are under you are sharing the exact same and that's to deliver.
